For those who got excited running their first 5k and are ready for something more, Ignite! announces the newest running program in Wetumpka and beyond! Have to Half (H2H) is a long training program for a half marathon. Like our Season 2 Run program, this program addresses all you need to know and do to reach the RIGHT goal for you as you compete in your first half marathon.
Unlike S2R, this program welcomes runners, walkers and those who want to combine
running and walking. Whatever your choice, we'll help you set your goal, design your
program, keep your motivation high and add in the special runners' knowledge that
can make the difference on race day.
Another difference in this program is that we'll be working with a flexible schedule. We'll meet as a group most weeks, switching up between long runs, speed runs and cross-training sessions. Sometimes, we'll schedule weekend workouts, sometimes we'll work out on a weeknight. You'll be encouraged to meet in smaller groups to train together and you'll have access to coaching every step of the way.
You aren't in Alabama? Do your runs wherever and join us for our half, or run one in your own area. You'll have access to the same great coaching, a personally designed progression, RUNMinder will help you stay on track and a supportive online group to cheer your success.
Sound like fun? This program has gone YEAR ROUND! We'll analyze your level and your goal and together we'll decide on the best target for a race for you! While we often head to a race as a group, we want you to perform your best, so we'll make sure that is our primary criteria when selecting a race.
